We’ll start our journey with a warm welcome at “Centro de las Raíces”, the first cultural center in Cuba fully dedicated to enhance afro aesthetics and identity in the island and Beyond Roots headquarters. This is where your adventure begins, in Old Havana over a cup of coffee.

Our Adventure:

We’ll travel to Guanabacoa, the cradle of Afro-Cuban culture in Havana. Here, you’ll meet a “Babalawo” – the highest priest of Santeria. He will perform a cleansing ritual and share the profound wisdom of Afro-Cuban religions and how we have kept it alive from generations.

Culinary Delights:

Savor the flavors of typical Afro-Cuban cuisine under the sacred Ceiba tree, while enjoying live music. Sip on Aguardiente, a traditional beverage used in Afro-Cuban rituals, enhancing your cultural immersion.

Unique Shopping Experience:

Afterwards, we return to the Beyond Roots store, the first and only Afro-Cuban style shop in Cuba. Explore a space dedicated to celebrating Afro-Cuban identity, offering unique products crafted by local talents. Here, you can support and uplift the community.
